Harold Dueber "Smokey" McBride

Harold Dueber "Smokey" McBride, age 94, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Friday, November 22, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 2, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Clarence Howard officiating. Inurnment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.

A native of Houston, TX, Mr. McBride moved to Marietta in 1974. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Cook Composites as a Plant Manager after over 40 years of employment. Mr. McBride also enjoyed fishing and hunting, rebuilding computers, and coaching and umpiring girls softball. He was a longtime member and former Deacon of Milford Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Wife of 71 years, Maurine McBride; 2 Children, Keith (Mary) McBride, Marietta, GA, and Karen (Kerry) Taylor, Woodstock, GA; Brother, Allie McBride, Bryan, TX; 4 Grandchildren, Jonathan Taylor, Amanda McBride Bryan, Amy McBride, and Allison McBride; 4 Great Grandchildren, Lucas Bryan, Flynn Bryan, Easton Taylor, and Stella Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
