Harald Friedrich Cates, age 56, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 am on Friday, August 21, 2015 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with full military honors.
Harald was a native of Germany and had lived in Powder Springs for many years. After retiring from the US Navy with 20 years of service, he worked for Direct TV in Oklahoma and Atlanta.
He is survived by his mother: Elfriede Sternberg of Powder Springs, GA: two sisters: Yvonne Price and Dorothy Cates of Illinois; one brother Mark Cates of Cumming, GA.
