H. Doyle King

H. Doyle King, age 90, husband of the late Macy King, went home into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 5, 2023.

Doyle was born July 4, 1932, in Marietta, GA and was the son of the late Harley and Mae Brown King.
After his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1953, he attended Emory University and attained his bachelor's degree.

Doyle married Macy in 1958 and they had a long loving marriage for 59 years, based in faith and the love of God. The same year of their marriage, he began his long career with Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company.
In 1977, Doyle and his family were transferred to Greenville, SC. They joined Rocky Creek Baptist Church and Holly Tree Golf and Country Club where they made many lasting relationships.

Doyle was the patriarch of his family. He had a generous heart and always strove to take care of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Brady of Acworth, GA, and Stanton King of Simpsonville, SC; five grandchildren, Heather Greer and Summer King of Simpsonville, Jonathon Brady, David Brady and Kevin Ledford of Acworth, GA; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Dupree and Francis Hallford.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

A second service will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 12:00 noon in the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA with burial to follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park.
