Gordon Johnson

Mr. Gordon A. Johnson, age 84, of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, September 14, 2015 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Marietta with Mr. Marvin Spear officiating. A native of Chicago, IL, Mr. Johnson moved to Dallas, GA 9 years ago from Florida. He retired as Vice President of Sales from Power Flame after 25 years of employment. He was also an avid organist, specializing in playing the pipe organ, and was a member of the American Theater Organ Society’s Atlanta and National Chapters. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Inman. Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Linda Johnson, Dallas, GA; 3 Children, Joyce Ellen (Marvin) Spear, Acworth, GA, Judy Montgomery, Marietta, GA and Jill (Kenneth) Logan, Acworth, GA; 5 Grandchildren, Kenny, Katie, Jamie, Cory and Chris, and 7 Great Grandchildren, Madison, Christian, Andrew, Brayden, Ryder, Georgia and Brooklyn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellstar Hospice at Tranquility, Kennesaw Mountain, 475 Dickson Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064.
