Glover Allen Smith

Glover Allen Smith, age 85, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away December 4, 2020. A graveside service will be held 2:30pm, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Kennesaw Memorial Park with Rev. Matthew Smith officiating.

Allen was a graduate of John McEachern High School and owned and operated Glover A. Smith Distributors Inc. He was a charter member and deacon of Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs. Allen loved working on the farm and had a real passion for working with horses. He also loved the outdoors, going deer hunting, camping and going to the beach.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Moore Smith; children, Gregory (Debby) Smith of Powder Springs, Jeffrey (Sabrena) Smith of Dallas and Sheri Smith Anderson of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Kila (Brad) Oldershaw, Terance Smith, Michael (Lauren) Smith, Matthew (Brandy) Smith and Mason Smith; great grandchildren, Darion and Bree Oldershaw, Caleb, Braylee, Kenlee and Colt Smith; and siblings, Billy Don Smith and Sandra Drummond.
