Giselle Ortiz, age 19, of Powder Springs, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Macland Baptist Church, 3732 Macland Road, Powder Springs. She will lie in state from 1pm until the service. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
Born in Miami, Giselle was a 2012 Graduate of McEachern High School where she earned a scholarship and was currently a student at Columbus State University.
Survivors include her parents, Benjamin and Belkis Ortiz; siblings, Margaret Ortiz, Genesis Ortiz and Benjamin Ortiz, Jr.; nephew, Onyx Ortiz and maternal grandparents, Alfredo and Margarita Calletano.
The family will receive friends at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, from 5pm-8pm.
