Geraldine (Gerrie) Moore Kriner of Powder Springs, GA passed away at home on November 19, 2021 at 80 years of age.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. (Bob) Kriner, and is survived by three sons and their wives, Jeff (Debi), Curtis (Debbie), and Robert M. (Suzanne), as well as six adult grandchildren and step-grandchildren (Matt, David, Hannah, Arman, Eric and Ryan). She is also survived by her brother Ronald C. Moore and wife Sylvia, brother-in-law William Kriner and wife Susan, and six nieces and nephews.
Gerrie was born to Lloyd and Mattie Ricketts Moore in Rock Hill, SC, and grew up in Pineville, NC. She attended Pineville Elementary and graduated East Mecklenburg High School. She was a member and was baptized at Stough Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville, where she also married Bob in 1962.
Beginning in 1966, Gerrie lived in Smyrna, Marietta and, more recently, Powder Springs, GA. She recently attended Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs. After her sons were older Gerrie worked at Southern Technical Institute in Marietta, GA and retired after 20 years of service. A dedicated volunteer for many years, Gerrie served the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, PTA, and Boy Scouts of America where she was a Cub Pack 757 den leader for over 10 years.
Gerrie was an avid amateur photographer, and captured countless family memories along with many backyard flowers and birds. She leaves behind her beloved mini dachsund, Heidi, and a legacy of needlework, crafts, and photos that adorn her home.
There will be a memorial service at GraceLife Church of Pineville in her hometown of Pineville, North Carolina on Saturday, December 4, at 1:00pm.
