George Louis Thompson, age 82, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away December 6, 2022. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 12, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia.
George was a native and lifelong resident of Cobb County. He retired from Lockheed Martin. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include: wife: Mary C. Thompson of Powder Springs, GA; two sons: George (Paula) Thompson, Jr. and Patrick (Clarissa) Thompson; daughter: Kesha (John) Sheffield; brother: James Lee Thompson; two sisters: Alma Lee (John) Bowen and Marie (Robert) Hyatt; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step children: Lakia and Jeremy Clarke; several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
