George W. Mullins

August 17, 1953 — December 16, 2011

George Washington Mullins, III (Buzz) went home to see his sweet Saviors face and bask in His glory on Friday, December 16, 2011. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his father George Washington Mullins, Jr. and mother Rosamond Mullins-Kurland.

He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife, Darlene Mullins, four sons, Joshua (Olivia) Mullins, Jared Mullins, Joey (Wynter) Mullins and Justin Mullins. The lights of his life are his four beautiful grandchildren, Isaiah, Amaya, Campbell and Jaxon Mullins. He was also blessed with 2 loving sisters, Jean (Jack) Lumpkin, Gayle Mullins, 2 brothers Tommy (Laurie) Mullins and Richard (Michelle) Mullins. Parents by marriage, Jim and Felice Whigham. Sister-in-law Donna (Tony) Fowler. Nieces and nephews along with many dear close friends.

George was a devoted and faithful member of Milford Baptist Church. His great joy was carrying out his God given ministry visiting hospital patients and shut-ins as often as possible and was known by many far and wide as "The Mustard Seed Man" because of his strong desire to spread the wonderful word of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by giving out his mustard seed cards. George was a loving and adoring husband that never let a day go by without letting his wife know how much he loved her and how grateful he was that God had put them into each other's lives. He loved his sons with a love 2nd only to that of God. Right up to his dying day he rarely complained and was constantly praying for others needs and problems. Everyone that had the honor of knowing George couldn't help but fall in love with his compassion, strength, wonderful sense of humor and love of life. His daily mission was to share the love he felt everyday from his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with everyone he came in contact with and make sure they knew this love was there for them.
