Gary Edward Clouse, age 58, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Northwest Christian Church with Ron Mobley officiating.
A native of Shelbyville, KY, Mr. Clouse moved lived in the Cobb County area since 1985. He currently worked as the Head Custodian at Southern Polytechnic State University after many years of working as a graphic artist with several companies, including the Marietta Daily Journal, USA Today and the Shelby News in Kentucky. Mr. Clouse was also an avid runner, and participated in the Boston Marathon, the Peachtree Road Race, and won many local races in the Marietta area. He also ran in the Olympic Trials during the 1984 Olympics. He enjoyed volunteering at the Northwest Christain Church in Acworth.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Clouse; Son, Michael "Scott" (Dee) Clouse, Kennesaw, GA; Mother, Ruth Clouse, Shelbyville, KY; Sister, Mary Drury, Shelbyville, KY; 2 Brothers, Lowell "Toby" Clouse, Bristol, CT and Ken Clouse, McDonough, GA; 2 Grandchildren, Tinley and Ty Clouse, Kennesaw, GA.
