Frederick C. Smith

Frederick C Smith of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2021. He was born November 19, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in an orphanage as a baby after both his parents were killed in a car accident. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Smith, who passed away in 2007.

Frederick Smith was educated and a workaholic that retired three times. He volunteered after retiring in 2009 at the Villa Rica, GA recreation center for nine years.

He was on his own at an early age. Our grandparents loved to take road trips and play the slots machines at the casinos. He was a loving husband and grandfather. Our grandfather was a very giving and selfless person who never met a stranger. He would tell the neighbors and kids to call him grandpa. He like to take long walks or as I would say, speed walking. His motto was "Move it or lose it" Some of his friends would call him Smitty.
He lived a full life and will be very much missed. We love you. Rest in peace.

Survivors include: ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
