Fred Hyatt Nichols

Mr. Fred Hyatt Nichols, age 73, of Marietta, GA passed away Monday, September 19, 2011. Funeral Services will be held 3pm Thursday, September 22nd at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church in Powder Springs with Rev. Allen Richburg officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. He will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
A native of Culberson, NC, Mr. Nichols moved to Marietta in 1967. He was a veteran of the United States Army. After retiring from Sears in Atlanta after 35 years of employment, he worked as a mechanic for the Cobb County School System for the past 15 years. He was a member of Culberson Baptist Church in Murphy, NC, and enjoyed deer hunting, NASCAR and watching sports. Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Rooks.
