Fred Huey "Gene" Dennis

Mr. Fred Huey "Gene" Dennis, age 84, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Monday, December 10, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Gary Ledford and Rev. Carl Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery in Marietta.

Born in Chickamauga, GA, Mr. Dennis was a long time resident of Cobb County. He retired from Delta Airlines in 1994 after 23 years of employment. He was ordained as a Deacon at Mt. Arbor Baptist Church in Marietta, and served as a Deacon at Harvest Baptist Church in Acworth and University Baptist Church in Brookhaven. He was preceded in death by a son, Fred Timothy Dennis, a daughter, Robbie Michelle Dennis, and a grandson, Jacob Dennis.

Survivors include:

Wife, Robbie June Dennis; 4 Children, Linda (Gary) Ledford, Brookhaven, GA, Trudy (Al) Kitchens, Resaca, GA, Tony (Renee) Dennis, Powder Springs, GA, and Joy (Dan) Willard, Acworth, GA; 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 14th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturday from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
