Frankie Jeanette Newton, age 88, of Marietta, Georgia passed away February 18, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Cheatham Hill Baptist Church in Marietta with Rev. Steve McIntyre and Rev. Terry Elsner officiating. She will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. Frankie was preceded in death by her Husband: Johnny L. Newton; Mother: Floy Ray; Son: Larry Shaw and Sister: Hazel Toney.

Frankie was a native of Chattanooga, TN and spent most of her life in the Atlanta area. She worked for Mead Packaging for over 25 years and was a Mead Credit Union Board Director. Frankie was a member of Cheatham Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Children: Ray (Donna) Shaw, Glenda (J.L.) Murray, Kay (Ed) Zito and Keith (Janet) Newton; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
