Frank E. Hughes

Frank E. Hughes, age 88, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Friday, August 31, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Old Union Baptist Church in Young Harris, GA with Rev. Ricky Rogers and Rev. Tommy Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2pm until 4pm prior to the ceremony at the church.

Born and raised in Young Harris, GA, Mr. Hughes lived in Marietta for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served during the Korean War. Afterwards, he attended school on Pryor Street in Atlanta for TV and Radio repair. Mr. Hughes retired from Lockheed as a Flight Line Mechanic after 44 years of employment, and also enjoyed reading, yard work and gardening.

3 Siblings: Clayton "Bud" Hughes, Lewie Hughes and Maudine Fortenberry

5 Grandchildren: Josh, Hailey, Chad, Mandy and Olivia

1 Great Grandchild: Gunner
