Frank Joseph Basile

Mr. Frank Joseph Basile, Sr., age 87, of Marietta, GA (formerly of Oceanside, NY) passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011. Funeral Services will be held 10 am Wednesday, April 20th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marietta. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
A native of New York, Mr. Basile moved to Marietta 7 years ago from Fayette County. He worked for the dormitory services at Hartwick College and was a master electrician for the Town of Hempstead. He was a volunteer firefighter with Columbia Engine Company #1, and a member of the Nassau County Police Auxiliary. He also served in the United States Army during WWII, where he was field promoted to a Combat Sergeant before being held as a P.O.W.

Thomas Basile, Marietta, GA
Brother: Joseph Basile, Cooperstown, NY
Sister: Evelyn Fabrizzio
