It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Francisco "Frankie" Cortes Caceras, 65, of Smyrna, Georgia on November 25, 2020 after a hard fought battle with COVID-19. He has joined his heavenly father and is at peace. Visitation will be held Friday, December 4, 2020 from 4pm-6pm with a funeral service following at 6pm.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Cortes. He leaves behind his beautiful Mother Rosa Cortes, Rosa Cortes (sister), Edgardo (brother in law), brother Ruben Cortes (brother), Gladis Flores (sister in law), Erick Cortes (nephew), Adriana Cortes (niece), Alexander Cortes (nephew), Isabella Cortes (niece), Eduardo (nephew), Edgardo (nephew), close family friends Damaris Galarza, Danielle Hester Thompson, Heather DePass, Jonathan Edwards, Laura Aviles, Kristina Gomez, Stephanie Selton, Enrique Silvani, Jason Campbell, and a worldwide host of family and friends.
He leaves behind an unmatched legacy after 30 years with Delta Air Lines most recently as an Operations Service Manager for the Atlanta International operation. Frank, a native Puerto Rican, achieved his Associates Degree from the University of Rio Piedras. An avid traveler, he could be found in any corner of the world discovering new sights sharing memorable moments with friends and family he loved most.
His most cherished accomplishments were being selected as the 1996 Delta Olympic Torchbearer In Recognition of Outstanding and Exemplary Commitment and finally 2018 Delta Air Lines Chairman's Club Award for his impeccable service and dedication to the company, community, and the countless people that he served selflessly.
His legacy and his memory will live beyond his years for all that he has contributed to the lives of many.
