On July 16, 2022, Frances "Bunny" Lee Steinmetz passed away in Marietta, Georgia. She joins her mother and father, Virginia and Marion, her brother, Gene, and her son, Phillip. Bunny was born on March 10 (or 11), 1940 in Miami Florida. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State where she was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and played the flute in the marching band. She met her husband, Larry, in Miami, and they married in 1969. Together, they raised two loving children, Susan and Phillip.
In her professional life, Bunny was a secretary for the FBI in Miami, an assistant to a superintendent for the Hazelwood School District in St. Louis, and an administrative assistant for Church Extension, Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Indianapolis.
Bunny retired in 2005 and moved to Marietta, Georgia, to enjoy her favorite past-time, spending time with her grandkids, Michael and Emma. Bunny loved her church community: from singing in the choir to Sunday School to hearing the organ played on a Sunday morning. Other things she enjoyed included gardening, knitting, coloring, and attending every activity offered in her assisted living community from swimming to wheelchair soccer, art class to Bingo.
Bunny is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry, daughter, Susan, son-in-law, Tracey, and grandchildren, Michael and Emma.
A Life Celebration will be September 10, 2022 at 2:00p at Sandy Springs Christian Church, Sandy Springs, GA.
