Frances M. Chatham, age 68, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020. A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs with Rev. Matt Petty officiating.
Frances Martin Chatham was born on June 20, 1952, in Austell, Georgia. She lived a life of service and ministry to her God and Savior throughout North and Central Georgia and New Orleans. Daughter of a Pastor, she served in ministry from a teenager until her passing as pianist, vocalist, secretary, Children's Director, Music Minister, and Pastor's wife. Fran loved people and especially 'family', as many were adopted to be part of the Martin family - from senior ladies to the many 'adopted' grandchildren she embraced. She and 'Skider', her husband of 50 years, loved Nascar, Georgia Football, Road Trips, and seeing and meeting new people along their many adventures across the United States. She passed on September 2, 2020, peacefully in her sleep. She was an amazingly talented, loving, caring, and compassionate woman, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Calvin 'Skider' Chatham, sons Chad and Kit Chatham, daughter-in-law Ashley Chatham and grandchildren Cade, Cambrey, and Topher Chatham.
In lieu of flowers, Fran specifically asked that donations be made to the Annie Armstrong Easter through the North American Mission Board for missions work in North America.
