Esther Emmanuela Dorleans

Esther Emmanuela Dorleans, age 72, of Lithia Springs passed away April 30, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 7 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Brother Victor officiating.
Esther was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti where she met her loving husband of almost 50 years, Leonard Joseph Dorleans. They moved from Haiti with their small children to Brooklyn, NY and then to Florida where they lived for almost 20 years. She ultimately moved to Georgia to be closer to her children.
Esther was an amazing lady. She was strong and lovingly commanded respect from her children. She and her husband were very active in their faith and shared a love of gardening. Esther was a registered nurse and worked at The Brown School in Citrus County, Florida before retiring. Her passion for her faith and her love of her family will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Felixe and Lydia Jeanty and her husband, Leonard Joseph Dorleans. She is survived by her loving children: Ralph Dorce Dorleans of Haiti; Lydie (Alex) Akinwunmi of Marietta; Richard (Mameyacine) Dorleans of Canton and Rachelle Dorleans of Canton; 6 grandchildren: Vladimir Dorleans, Karl Heinz Dorleans, Bianca Bellabesse Affriany, Breyanna Emma-Lee Dorleans, Oulisa Jolee Dorleans and Ayana Labelle Dorleans; 5 siblings: Darly Jeanty, Raymonde Nazaire, Rico Oriole, Ghislaine Jeanty and Jean Theodule.
