Retired Lt. Col. James “Elliott” Brown, age 53, of Acworth, GA passed away Monday, November 30, 2015. Funeral Services will be held 1pm Saturday, December 5th at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs with Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park with full military honors. He will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Elliott moved to Acworth, GA in 2001. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Air National Guard after 30 years of service. Afterwards, he worked with Craig Technologies in Marietta as an instructor-navigator. He also enjoyed shooting at the Wild West Traders Gun Range, model airplanes and trains, air-brushing, grilling, and reading books on history.
