Ellen Cathryn Saltz

Ellen Cathryn Saltz, at the full age of 71, of Marietta, Georgia passed away October 15, 2017. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Brother Robert Scheid officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
Mrs. Saltz was a native of Chicago, IL and lived in the Marietta, GA area since July 1, 1988. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was in the Auxiliary Gideons, loved to teach ladies Bible classes, hosting in home Bible studies for more than 25 years, a collector of Teddy Bears and an avid reader. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include: husband of 48 years: Dr. Jack Thomas Saltz of Marietta, GA; son: John Thomas (Mary) Saltz of Macon, GA; two grandchildren: Cathryn and James Saltz of Macon, GA; four sisters: Sherry Kroll, Shirley Wright, Janet Mezera and Patty Cruz; brother: James Cruz and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
