Elizabeth "Betty" McNeal

Elizabeth “Betty” V. McNeal, age 89, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015. A Home Going service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Cheatham Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Steven McEntyre and Rev. Lamar Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta. She will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 1pm until the time of the service.

Ms. McNeal was born in New Jersey and has called Cobb County home since 1951. Elizabeth was determined, independent and very loving and giving to her family and friends. She loved to garden, enjoyed the occasional Bingo game, along with long walks but loved God and her family most of all. She was a member of Cheatham Hill Baptist Church and retired from the United States Government after 40 years of service.

She is survived by her children: Terri (Jerry) McPherson of Dallas and Keith (Carol) McNeal of Canton. She was Grandmom to 7 grandchildren: Karri, Shelley, Jared, Justin, Kristen, Amy, Tony and Greatmom to 7 great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Whitney, Jackson, Conner, Nealyn, Adam and Caden.
