Elizabeth "Betty" Lamb

Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Dyson Lamb, member of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church and Past Worthy Matron of The Order of Eastern Star, Smyrna Chapter 387, passed away June 27, 2014 at the age of 81. She was a retired bookkeeper at Aetna Insurance.



She was the daughter of the late Myrtle Lee Camp Dyson Walker and Ray Dyson. She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Lamb, daughter Carol Lamb Vanover, her brother Varnie Randolph Dyson and her sister Tulon Dyson Gazaway. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Eddie and Brenda Lamb and grandchildren: Rebecca Lamb, Christy Samples and husband Larry Samples, Luke Lamb and wife Davita Lamb, Kim Phillips, Willie Phillips, great-grandchildren: Thomas Leffew, Meghan Gibson, Sean Gibson, Lee Goode and Austin Samples, Ryan Samples, Kerry Phillips, Josh Hazelriggs, Felicia Phillips and great-great-grandchildren: Logan, Mattie and Aubrey.



Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta. Entombment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta.
