Earl Sinclair Kinnear, Jr, 10-22-1930 to 7-13-2013, age 82, passed away on Saturday, July 13th after a long battle with COPD. He was surrounded by loved ones at his daughter and son-in-law’s home at the time of his passing.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
Mr. Kinnear was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana where he met his wife, Marilyn, who preceded him in death. He was in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1959.
He attended Tri-State College (now Trine University) in Angola, Indiana where he earned Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Accounting. He worked as a machine tool salesman for many years until he opened his own business, Earls’ Oldies, restoring antique automobiles. After retirement he enjoyed spending time at the lake and keeping up with Atlanta Braves baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Sinclair Kinnear, Sr. and Nina DeVall Kinnear and by his sister, Margaret Beckman.
He is survived by daughters: Susan Kinnear and Carolyn Dzurenko and son-in-law Mike Dzurenko. He is also survived by grandsons: Christopher Earl Strozier and his wife, Melissa and Michael Dzurenko; great grandchildren: Wesley, Andrew, Phillip and Lillian as well as nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30am until 11:30am.
