Earl Hammond

Raymond Earl Hammond, age 83, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Thomas Blagg officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Atlanta, Mr. Hammond lived in Cobb County for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served just after the Korean War. He retired from the Powder Springs Post Office after 33 years as a Letter Carrier. Mr. Hammond enjoyed singing, and had sung with a gospel group, choir, and praise team. He was a member of Riverside Church of God.

Survivors include: Wife of 57 years, Carolyn Hammond; Son, Jeffrey Earl (Rinda) Hammond, Hiram, GA; Sister, Lennette Blair, Canton, GA; 3 Grandchildren, Ashley Taylor, Brandon Hammond, and Hannah Hammond; 4 Nieces and 4 Nephews.
