Earl Lamar Carl, Jr…
Was born to Earl Lamar Carl, Sr and Sadie Jane (Etheridge) Carl on May 27, 1957 in Decatur, Georgia. He graduated from Druid Hills High School and later joined the Army. After the Army he attended Bethel Christian College in Atlanta where he graduated with a degree in Christian education. He was united in marriage to Carol Kay (Thooft) Carl on September 4, 1999 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Over the years Earl worked at the 700 Club as a phone counselor, Olive Garden as the “Pasta man”, and selling cars at many dealerships.
Earl was a longtime member of Olive Branch ministries which has taken him to many places. He loved to evangelize, go on mission trips and just love people who needed the healing word’s of the Lord. He loved to go fishing, loved football, and being Uncle Marty.
Earl is survived by his wife Carol of Acworth, GA, his mother Sadie of Covington, GA, sisters Connie Santmyres of Flowery Branch, GA, Carol Jane Ledbetter of Jackson, GA and Elizabeth Kitchens of Covington, GA. He is survived by his step children Michael (Shannon) Reynolds of Texas and Melissa Reynolds of Acworth, GA, his brother-in-law Lester (Kathy) Thooft of Minnesota, Jesse Thooft of Colorado, Joelyn (Mike) Feldmann of Colorado, Patty (Scott) Atwater of Kentucky, Julie (Joe) West of South Dakota and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Earl Sr, his mother-in-law Mary and father-in-law Julius, brother-in law Steve Santmyres, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Earl Lamar Carl, Jr passed away November 19, 2017 at 60 yrs old after a long battle with Ahlzheimer’s.
