Dorothy Mae Jones, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away April 15, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta , Georgia.
Dorothy a native of Baltimore, MD, lived in New York for 55 years before moving to Atlanta eleven years ago. She is a member of Trinity Chapel in Powder Springs, GA and Community Protestant Church in Bronx, NY, she was a member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
Survivors include: husband of 65 years: Robert Jones, Jr.; three children: Keith A. Jones, Melanie Balogun and Robert Jones; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
