Donnis Edward Fields

Donnis Edward Fields, age 102, of Hiram, Georgia took his last breath on Friday, June 14, 2024, and went into the presence of Jesus his Savior with such peace. He was a wonderful family man, loved his God, his church, his country and his garden. He adored his wife Martha of 75 years whom he met when he came home from serving his country in World War II, after receiving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. He was known by his infectious smile, sense of humor, and friendliness. Donnis is preceded in death by his wife Martha Fields, and daughter Susan Fields.

He is survived by his Daughters: Joy Deal (Dennis) and Donna Smith (Ronnie). Grandchildren: Tonja Roberts (Jamie), Ronell Smith (Holly), Daniel Smith (Melissa), Jason Smith (Shannon). Great-grandchildren: Holly, Riley, Levi, Bryson, Amy-Grace, Lydia, Schaeffer, Edith, Janie, and Brayden. Sister: Lucille Gilstrap, and many loved Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Richard Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
