Dondra Murphy was born in Carrollton, GA on January 17th, 1939, to the late Flacy Ophelia Lovvorn and Milton Joe Taft Lovvorn. Dondra graduated from Carrollton High School. After working for some time she returned to college at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, AL and graduated. Throughout her life Dondra lived in several areas including Carrollton, GA Colorado Springs, CO, Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL, Charlottesville, VA, Duluth, GA, and Kennesaw GA, She was divorced and had one child (Rhett Cameron Murphy). She is survived by her son Rhett, daughter in law (Marianne Murphy) and granddaughter (MeriGrace Murphy), a sister (Brenda Jane Featherstone and Gerald Lynn Featherstone) of Pittsboro, NC. She worked in sales for Columbus Business Machines selling electric typewriters and next she worked for Ralston Towers renting apartments for seniors. She also worked in sales and as a trainer in the telecommunications industry for Southern Net, MCI and finally Verizon. Dondra was a true Christian and was very active in her local church serving as the Sunday school director. She was in church every time the doors were open throughout her life and witnessed to many about Jesus and the need for salvation. Shebhadban outgoing and cheerful personality. She instilled a strong work ethic in me, being an active member in our local church, accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, showing up early and staying late. She enjoyed traveling, books, movies and spending time with her friends and family. She was promoted to heaven on September 7th, 2022. We will cherish the memories of her.
