Mr. Dennis Milton Cosby, age 64, of Marietta, GA passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, an adored grandfather, and a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dennis, the youngest of three children, was born on January 30, 1951 to James Milton Cosby and Catherine Harmon Cosby in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Pebblebrook High School where he played football, baseball, and soccer. He was an electrician by trade and worked at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta for 35 years. He also served as a deacon at Hurt Road Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA.

On July 20, 1972, Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Vickie Langston. Daughters Kacie and Kimberlie were born a few years later and Dennis would spend many hours coaching their softball teams, hiking and camping with them, and watching the Braves and Georgia football.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Catherine Cosby.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Vickie Cosby of Marietta, GA; daughter and son-in-law Kacie & Wayne Phipps of Mableton, GA; daughter and son-in-law Kimberlie & Jacob Keene of Mableton, GA; and grandsons Harrison Phipps, Hollis Phipps, and Langston Keene. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Sherry & Jerry Breazeale of Andrews, NC; sister and brother-in-law Sandra & Larry Nix of Villa Rica, GA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00am in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home with Dr. Frank McLeod and Rev. Mike Parker officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and before the funeral on Saturday from 9:00am until 10:45am. Memorial donations may be made to the Hurt Road Baptist Church Building Fund.
