It is with great sadness that the family of Delores Copeland of Powder Springs, GA announces her passing away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the tender age of 62. A Memorial Service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, May 30th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 11am until 12pm prior to the service.
Delores was known as “Momma Dee” to many. She was born March 3, 1956 in East Chicago to tha late I.B. Copeland and Eular Copeland, moving to Georgia in 1991. She had a big heart and cared for everyone. She always had a listening ear and the best advice to give, so she became a Life Coach. She served the Lord so she became an ordained minister. She also loved to cook, and enjoyed her fitness and health. She is preceded in death by Sylvia Copeland, Victoria Diane Hunter, Doretha Copeland, Shirley Copeland and Melvina Artist.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters, LaTavia Browder and Brandy Copeland; Son, Roosevelt and Latanya Browder III; 3 Sisters, Karen Franklin, Bernice Gomez and Viola Williams; 2 Brothers, Marcel Copeland and Royce Copeland; Grandchildren, Deja Moore, Zahria Moore, Barry Durham III, Roosevelt Browder IV, Morgan Browder, Maurice Dixon, Tekeyah Dixon; and a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Delores shared over 40 years of friendship with best friends, Rosie Mosley and Stephanie Sneed. They were all seen together since they were children, which is something that is very rare these days. They truly valued each other’s friendship, which is how they were able to keep their relationship for so many years.
