David John Shope Sr.

David John Shope, Sr., age 80, of Marietta, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 5, 2021. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Huntingdon, PA.

A native of Huntingdon, PA, Mr. Shope moved to Marietta, GA in 1976. He graduated from Penn State University in 1962, then worked for Equifax for 25 years. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth and Ruth Shope and his sister, Doris Shope Cox.

Survivors include: Wife of 57 years, Barbara McElwain Shope; 4 Sons, David John (Deborah) Shope, Jr., Huntingdon, PA, Christopher (Tracy) Shope, Powder Springs, GA, Matthew (Destini) Shope, Jasper, GA and Stephen Shope and companion Julie, Cartersville, GA; Brother, Dean (Carolyn) Shope, Three Springs, PA; 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
