Daniel E. Mitchell

Daniel E. Mitchell, age 70 of Acworth, passed away September 17, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, September 20th in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Rev. Randy Owenby officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.



Mr. Mitchell is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Mitchell and granddaughter, Dannielle and is survived by his mother, Lucille Dalton of Dallas; his loving wife of 41 years, Janice Mitchell; children: Angie (and husband Brian) Houston of Marietta and Joseph Mitchell of Acworth; grandchildren: Harley Tyler, Miranda Tyler, Jacklyn Houston and Caitlyn Houston; and sister Sara Winston of Marietta.



Mr. Mitchell worked for General Service Administration for over 20 years before retiring and was a United States Army Veteran. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Not many people knew he had a green thumb and that he enjoyed watching the deer at Red Top Mountain. He will be greatly missed.
