Daniel Lester

Daniel Wallace Lester, age 83, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 27th at the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs with Rev. Mike Woods and Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Born in Chicago, IL, Mr. Lester was an accomplished minister and educator. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree, from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity, and from Georgia State University with a Masters of Education. He pastored churches in Fairmount and Senoia, Georgia, and taught school with the Marietta School System for over 20 years.
