Creil O. Murray, age 87, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30am Thursday, May 26th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. William Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born in Dekalb, Alabama to Lon and Lucille Traylor, Mrs. Murray grew up on Sand Mountain, Sylvania, Alabama. She moved to Atlanta when she was 19 years old. She married Charles W. “Bill” Murray in 1950 and was married for 50 years. She retired from the Cobb County School Food Services as the Lunchroom Manager at McEachern High School. The cafeteria was then named after her; the “Creil O. Murray Dining Hall”. She was also a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church for 26 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
