Cline Hugh Dayton

Cline Hugh Dayton "Honda Hugh" age 79, of Marietta, Georgia passed away June 20, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, with Chaplain Laura Bondurant officiating. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Dayton, parents Cline and Ruth Dayton, son Johnny Dayton, brothers Jack, Bob, Bruce and Knox and sister Wilda.

Cline was a native of Hiawassee, Georgia living the past fifty plus years in Marietta, Georgia. At 18 years old he started working with the United States Postal Service and retired when he was 48. After the USPS he started working on cars and that's where he got his nick name "Honda Hugh". He loved fishing, gambling, real estate, and was an avid gardener. He and a favorite rock named "Chad" and a saying of "How's Faegan". Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include: two daughters: Cynthia (Doug) Briard of Dallas, GA and Vickie (David) Portier of Buford, GA; six grandchildren: Nicole, Julia, Brandon, Luke, Dustan and Morgan; three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Sawyer and Savannah; two sisters: Wanda (Joe) Rumfelt of Hiawassee, GA and Madge (John) Oswald of Alaska; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
