Clarence Donald Cheek

C. Donald “Don” Cheek, age 78, of Smyrna, GA passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012. Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park.

Born in Memphis, TN, Mr. Cheek moved to Cobb County in 1959. He retired from the Department of Housing and Urban Development after 30 years of employment. He was also a longtime member of the Nelms Masonic Lodge in Smyrna, the Smyrna Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, of King Springs Baptist Church, and served as a shriner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Shirley Cheek, and a daughter, Jennie Carole Cheek.

Son: Rick Cheek and wife Debbie, Powder Springs, GA

Daughter: Mary Ellen Dunn and husband Charles, New Mexico

4 Grandchildren: Tiffany Holland, Heather Mabry, Jessica Temple and Jacob Martin

9 Great Grandchildren
