Christopher Jacob Theobald, lovingly known as Chris, passed away on October 3, 2024, in Hiram, Georgia, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and dedication to family. Born on December 11, 1987, in Tennessee, Chris lived life with an adventurous spirit and a commitment to those he held dear.

Chris proudly served his country in the Army for 8 years, a testament to his strength and sense of duty. He served 3 tours, in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He was first deployed from 2006-2007, then again from 2008-2009, and his last deployment was in 2011. He proudly served his country in Field Artillery in Iraqi Freedom, and in Afghanistan, he was in the Bomb Dog Detection Squad. During and after his military service, he pursued further education, taking college courses that he tackled with the same tenacity he displayed throughout his life.

Chris also devoted time and energy into being a Mason. He was a dedicated member, and he strived to be a disciplined learner. He was a member of the Senoia Lodge #82.

As a devoted husband to Kimberly Lee Theobald and a loving father to his children, Joshua Lee Theobald and Nova Lee Theobald, Chris found his greatest pride in his family. His proudest accomplishments were undeniably tied to the joy and fulfillment he derived from being a father. Both Josh and Nova were the centerpieces of his world, and he cherished every moment spent guiding and nurturing them.

Chris had a myriad of hobbies and interests that painted a picture of a vibrant life well-lived. He found solace and joy in camping and boating, often seeking out the natural beauty around him. His hands were never idle; he loved building and creating, recently channeling his creativity into the renovation of their RV, crafting a new island that turned his family's adventures into lasting memories.

He is survived by a loving family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Chris leaves behind his wife Kimberly, children Joshua and Nova, parents Kenneth Theobald and Christina Lee Theobald, siblings Stephanie Hightower (Becca), Duane Theobald, Heather Jones (Adam). He was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews: Riley Sellers (Aaron), Wyatt Hightower, Hailey Theobald, Piper Jones, and AJ Jones, and great-niece Charlotte Sellers, and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service to honor Chris’s remarkable life will be held on October 5, 2024, at 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta, Georgia, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the life of a man who embodied hard work and devotion.

He is profoundly missed, but his spirit lives on in the memories created together, and in the stories that will be shared for generations to come.
