Christopher Alan Stafford 04/26/1964 - 08/20/2018

Chris Stafford stepped in to eternity on August 20, 2018, to join his father in the presence of the Lord. He was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan and found great joy in telling jokes and pranks to make his family and friends laugh. He had a huge heart and loved his family with everything he had. Chris faced many trials and tribulations in his life, but he always found a way to make everyone around him feel special and loved regardless of what he was facing. As a strong minded man, Chris had a lot of pride and that led him to be very proud of not only many of the wonderful improvements he made in life, but also in his siblings, nieces, nephews, his children and his grandchildren. One of his grandchildren is a US Marine and one is an incredibly talented musician, and if he talked to you, you were going to see the pride in his eyes.

Chris had a large family who loved him dearly and who admired his ability to cope with difficulties in life and make the most of what he had. He had the ability to survive on very little without ever complaining, he was a real trooper.

I would like to give a word of encouragement and wish the peace of and promise of God's love to my Dad- 1st Thessalonians 4: 13-14 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. I love you Dad and I know this is not the end for you. There are no tears in heaven and no sadness and I look forward to the day that we meet again. I love you and I was blessed to have you in my life. Love, Courtney.

Christopher Alan Stafford is preceded in death by his father Ralph D. Stafford. He is survived by his mother Margaret Stafford of Canton, GA, his two children, Courtney (Mickey) Haynes of Douglasville, GA, Christopher (Kiesha) Stafford of Temple, GA, 5 siblings Eric (Kirsten) Stafford of Decatur, GA, Teresa (Shaun) Carlile-Childers of Canton, GA, Jon Stafford of Woodstock, GA, Tim Stafford of Smithville, TN, Terry (Stephanie) Stafford of Indianapolis, IN. Christopher Stafford has 8 grandchildren Ashley (Matthew) Greene, Addison and Alyssa Haynes, Kalea Stafford, Christopher Stafford, Wyatt Stafford, and Lillian Stafford and grandchildren though the unity of marriage to include Haley and Hannah Connor, Abbie and Ashlynn Baity, and Treven. Trey, Trenton and Charlie Motter- Stafford . He also has a brand new great grandson Silas Calvin Green, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. My father also left behind a girlfriend who loved him dearly, Sharlene Smith- Mahaffey.
