Christopher Hemphill

Christopher Lee Edward Hemphill, age 35, of Kennesaw, Georgia, formerly of Austell, GA, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Richard Hemphill officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta.

Chris was a graduate of South Cobb High School, and had been pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Despite his shy demeanor, Chris was a lover of people and never failed to make everybody laugh. Kind and generous with a gentle heart, Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had never met a stranger.

Survivors include: Mother, Candace Hemphill, Austell, GA; Father, Edward Walter Erwin III, Mableton, GA; Grandparents, Thomas and Sarah Hemphill (who Chris had a deep love for helping to raise him), Austell, GA; Grandmother, Brenda Gail Chilton, Mableton, GA; Brothers, James Allen (Christina) Kight, Rockmart, GA, and Daniel Thomas Hemphill, Austell, GA; Sisters, Nichole Hall, Courtney Erwin, and Kaitlin Erwin; Niece, Autumn Grace Kight; Aunt, Angie Erwin, and numerous other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
