Charles Ashley "Chuck" Smith

Charles Ashley "Chuck" Smith, age 54, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Monday, September 27, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at West Ridge Church in Dallas with Rev. Tim Childers officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 10am until 11am prior to the service.

A native of Dothan, Alabama, Chuck graduated from Troy University with a BA in Criminal Justice. Afterwards, he served in the United States Army for 4 years. He moved to Cobb County 30 years ago and worked for the Cobb County Police Department, retiring after 25 years of service. He then joined the Cobb County School District Campus Police and worked at Osborne High School for the past 3 years. Chuck also loved working out, spending time with his family, and watching Alabama football. He was preceded in death by a son, Camden Smith.

Survivors include: Wife of 21 years, Kim Smith; 2 Children, Connor and Kaylee Smith; Mother and Step Father, Noralean and Bill Lawrence; Sister, Lisa Braswell and husband Chuck; Nieces and Nephews
