Charles E. Singletary, age 44, of Atlanta passed away June 8, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 18 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta.
Charles was born in North Carolina and lived in many different states before ultimately settling in Georgia 7 years ago. He enjoyed being a bartender at the Hard Rock Café in Atlanta and never met a stranger. Charles lived life to the fullest with a smile and lots of love to share. He loved his Hard Rock Café family, his cousins and auntie, especially his babies, Dollsworth and Wilbert but his love for his husband changed his life to brighter days and happiness. He will always be in our hearts and souls and our guardian angel… looking over us.
He is survived by his spouse, Wendell Singletary of Atlanta, mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Paul Tully of Jacksonville, NC; grandfather, William “Bill” Henderson of Holly Ridge, NC; favorite auntie, Estelle Smith of Maple Hill, NC; brothers: JP (Kristen) Tully of Jacksonville, NC, Perry (Brandy) Tully of Jacksonville, NC; cousins, Deborah (Nelson) Lainer of Maple Hill, NC, Donna (Timmie) Millis of Sneads Ferry, NC, Dawn Purdy Silsby, of Maryland ; 3 nieces and 5 nephews; mother-in-law, Yvonne McPherson; brother-in-law, Ronald (Ron) Singletary; sisters-in-law; Valerie (Patrick) Lee and Cynthia Anane and his beloved dogs: Dollsworth and Wilbert. Charles is preceded in death by his grandparents: Leslie and Doris Tyndall and grandmother, Patricia Henderson.
