Charles William "Bill" Scott

Charles William "Bill" Scott, age 67, of Marietta, Georgia passed away January 17, 2017. Memorial Service will be held at Hollydale United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 22, 2017 , at 4:00 pm with Rev. Woods and Rev. Wilson officiating.

Bill was a native of Atlanta, GA. He graduated from South Gwinnett High School, served four years in the Army, two of which were in Germany, and was a life long dedicated Georgia Tech fan. Most of all Bill loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed monthly lunches with the Pioneers, a group of fellow Avaya retirees, and traveling with friends to the Smoky Mountains. Bill called himself a "phone man" and worked first for Southern Bell, then BellSouth, AT&T, Lucent and finally retired from Avaya. He kept the same job, just under a different company name, for almost 40 years.

Survivors include: wife of 44 years; Susan Eason Scott; two children; Kelli Scott Hulet and Zach Hulet of Manassas, VA; and Adam William Scott and Marisa Maddox of Waltham, MA; one brother; Olin Pierce Scott III and wife Shirley of Huntington Beach, CA; four grandchildren: Preston, Patrick, Evan and Dylan; one nephew; Clayton Scott and two nieces: Jennifer Massey and Marcy Wilson.

The family will receive friends during a reception after the Memorial Service in the fellowship hall at Hollydale United Methodist Church.
