Charles Reece

Charles Jefferson Reece, Jr., age 88, of Smyrna, GA passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Ronnie Cheatwood officiating. Burial will follow at Salmon Cemetery in Adairsville, GA at 3pm.
Born in Tennessee and raised in the north Georgia mountains, Mr. Reece lived most of his life in Smyrna, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving near the end of WWII. After working for Western Union for 20 years, he retired from the Gulf Life and American General Insurance Agency after a long career. He also served as a Mason, and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Marietta.

8 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 287 Mt. Calvary Road, Marietta, GA 30064. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
