Charles Edward Little Sr.

Papa, the original “Charles Edward Little”, of Powder Springs, Georgia, the most generous and loving man, departed this world for a better place on August 2, 2023. Visitation will be from 10 -11:30 am and service will be held at noon August 5, 2023 all at Macland Road church of Christ, 2732 Macland Road, Marietta, Ga. A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm (Central) (3pm Eastern) at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Snead, Alabama. He was born September 8, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama. Preceded in death by his son, Randall (Amy), granddaughter, Rebecca, sister, Betty (Ray) and parents Delmar and Pearl. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Bettie, his daughter Carol Thomas (Bill), son Charles (Sylvia), and son Keith (Sam), grandsons Charles (Rebecca), Will Thomas ( Monica), and granddaughter Leah Melvin (Sam) and six great grandchildren. You could not find a more generous servant of the Lord to do the tireless work of deacon over benevolence for decades at Macland Road Church of Christ. He spent 30+ years at Lockheed working on C5 and C130s as a machinist. His crowning jewel was his family. He enjoyed nothing better than coach his children and spending time with his grandchildren and great/grandchildren, attending all sports and activities, always so proud and supportive. He was a lover of life, always ready to fish or play games, or watch an Alabama football game. His favorite hymn “Amazing Grace”reflects his eternal faith and trust in God.
