Charles M. Hatfield, “Charlie” age 69 of Dallas passed away April 21, 2016 at home. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, April 25 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Rev. Donald Stewart and Pastor Jim Castle officiating. Burial will be announced soon.
Charlie was born in Jellico, TN; raised in Franklin, OH; and lived in Williamsburg, KY before moving to Cobb County for 10 years and then ultimately residing in Paulding County for the past 23 years. He was the owner/operator of his trucking business, Charles Hatfield Trucking, Inc. where he considered his employees as dear friends. Charlie loved to ride his Harley with his son, Chuck. He was most proud to be Papaw to his 9 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Ancil and Ruby Hatfield; his grandparents: Effie & Monk and Tom & Nancy; he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lynn Hatfield of Dallas; children: Christy (Jimmy) DeFoor of Temple; Angie (Brandon) Ellis of Dallas; Chuck (Mindy) Hatfield of Temple; sister, Patsy (Carl “Whitey”) Mays of Burnside, KY and 9 grandchildren: Elizabeth (fiancé Brent Hulsey) DeFoor, Lindsey DeFoor, Devan Hatfield, Jessica Ellis, Emily Ellis, Demi Hatfield, Evan DeFoor, Hayden Hatfield and Bella Hatfield.
