Charles H. Floyd

Mr. Charles Howell “Hal” Floyd, age 86, of Marietta, GA passed away Monday, April 24, 2017. Memorial Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 27th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Inurnment will follow at 1pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
Born in Rockmart, GA, Mr. Floyd lived in Cobb County for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, having served for 11 years. He retired from Weyerhaeuser (formerly Macmillan Bloedel), and was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church. He was a Free and Accepted Mason, a member of the Rockmart Lodge #97, and a member of the American Legion Post 160. He was preceded in death by his sister, Laverne Dean.
Survivors: Wife: Louise Floyd, Marietta, GA; 2 Sons: James (Darlene) Floyd, Panama City, FL, Pat (Tracy) Floyd, Dallas, GA; 3 Stepchildren: John (Leslie) Hudson, Marietta, GA, William (Teresa) Hudson, Winston, GA, Shiree (Jack) Lynch, Smyrna, GA; 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 8 Step Grandchildren and 11 Step Great Grandchildren.
