Cecil C. McCoy

Cecil Claude McCoy 81, born in Macon County, NC and long-time resident of Powder Springs, GA completed his life journey on February 22, 2019.
Cecil was retired from the military as he served 14 years in the United States Marine Corp and 8 years in the United States Air Force Reserve. Mr. McCoy was a retiree of Lockheed Martin, Cecil worked for Spector Freight Line in Spartanburg, SC for 10 years.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Powder Springs.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Hester McCoy of Macon County, NC; his first wife Doris Ann McCoy; his daughter Anita McCoy Davis and his Granddaughter Sharon McCoy.
He is survived by his current wife, Pamela Anderson McCoy, Sons Anthony Dale McCoy (Julie), Brian Keith McCoy and Christopher McCoy (Jennifer); Daughter Lorrie McCoy Keefe (Chris); 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren.
A Funeral service remembering the life and legacy of Cecil will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday, at the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and visitation from 2-3 pm prior to the service, with Pastors Brian Bird and Greg Ramsey officiating. Burial will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville with Pastor Brian Lancaster presiding over the graveside services.
