Cathy Shiflett Carruth

Cathy Carruth, 73, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at 9:30 AM on Friday, November 10, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Wilkins officiating. She will be laid to rest at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens immediately following. 

Cathy is survived by her husband, Leonard “LJ” Carruth, daughter Paula, son Jason and wife Anna, daughter Lori, and son Brad and wife Carolyn, along with grandchildren Will, Grace, Ashleigh, AJ, and Abbey.

Cathy Carruth was born on June 9, 1950 in Rome, Georgia to Larry and Lula Shiflett. Cathy was a member of McEachern High School’s first drill team. She married her true love, LJ, and they enjoyed 54 years of married bliss. Family was her heart. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
